About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director of Software Engineering to join our team at TD. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team to support regulatory reporting systems, overseeing solution design, development, and implementation plans, and providing overall team leadership, training, coaching, and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering team to support regulatory reporting systems and ensure compliance with enterprise and industry standards.
  • Oversee solution design, development, and implementation plans within the group, ensuring alignment with business needs and technology strategies.
  • Provide overall team leadership, training, coaching, and development, ensuring on-going performance feedback and assessments occur and development plans exist for each team member.
  • Execute introducing engineering tools, methodologies, and processes across the enterprise, leveraging deep technology expertise for own area of specialization.
  • Partner with the Operations team to automatically integrate with appropriate tools and processes as part of automated/self-serve Application, Platform, or Infrastructure releases.
  • Work with partners across Technology and apply in-depth understanding of relevant business needs to identify and leverage synergies across the various areas.
  • Act as the expert or lead innovator and agent of change for the programs and services under management.
Requirements
  • University or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years relevant experience in software engineering, with expertise in Microsoft-based technology, including.Net and MS SQL, Azure knowledge, and TD Azure implementation experience.
  • Experience with Non-retail source system data, end-to-end software engineering mindset, and familiarity with TD software development control standards.
  • Resource prioritization, offshore resource management experience, and source code control with a fully understood branching strategy to support complex SQL database deployment.
  • Software solution design skills and complex software development plan execution.
