About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Art Director to lead our sports game art team and drive the visual quality and authenticity of our game. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining the artistic style and overall look of all aspects of the game, including 2D and 3D art, characters, and environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of artists to produce high-quality art assets, including characters, environments, and UI/UX elements.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the game's visual style and quality meet the highest standards.
  • Develop and maintain a style guide for the game, ensuring consistency across all art assets.
  • Work with the team to identify and implement new technologies and techniques to improve art production and efficiency.
  • Provide clear and consistent visual feedback to artists to elevate their work and ensure high-quality art delivery.
  • Manage the art team, providing coaching and performance feedback to ensure the team is working effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in game art production, with a strong background in sports games.
  • Shipped at least two AAA titles, with a focus on sports games.
  • Deep knowledge of sports, including playing experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with UI/UX specialists, interface designers, character and environment artists, technical artists, and render SEs.
  • Experience driving teams to produce art at scale, including the use of outsourcing.
  • Early concept and prototyping experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Unreal Engine.
  • Passion for video games and sports.
