About the Role

As a Technical Art Director at EA SPORTS, you will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality content production workflows, technologies, and visuals for our EA SPORTS FC Art team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct, define, design, and implement efficient content production workflows, technologies, and visuals.
  • Assume ownership of technical issues and bring them to resolution, delegating tasks to senior, intermediate, and junior Technical Art staff as needed.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in technical art, including content production workflows, tools, pipelines, asset optimization, visual scripting/logic, and shader development.
  • Communicate effectively with artists, engineers, and managers to ensure seamless collaboration and project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement in technical art practices.
Requirements
  • At least 6+ years of cinematic/games production experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience leading teams of 5+ people, with a strong ability to motivate and empower team members.
  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field, such as art, design, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python and C#, with experience in 2D and 3D art packages, including Maya.
  • Expert knowledge of asset optimization techniques and a willingness to jump into new challenges and solve complex problems.

We offer a competitive salary range of $133,400 - $193,200 CAN Annually, depending on location, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation time, sick leave, and extended health/dental/vision coverage.
