About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team at Winmar Yorkton. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate pile driving cranes, tower cranes, and other heavy equipment to drive pilings, assemble structures, and perform other construction tasks.
  • Mix and Apply Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure a strong and durable foundation for our buildings.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites to prepare the ground for building.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and buildings to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Ensure Safety Protocols: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Experience in construction or a related field is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
