Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate crane to move heavy materials and equipment, following strict safety protocols and guidelines, and put personnel where the work is required..
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues. Assist in creating the lift plans.
- Collaborate with construction teams to lift and place materials and heavy equipment.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with construction personnel to coordinate lift plans and ensure a smooth construction process.
- Demonstrate knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Operate forklift at times to transport materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience operating cranes and have current certification. Our crane is a Grove RT890E
- Familiarity with construction codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of forklift operation.
- Ability to work at heights and in extreme weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and equipment.
- Valid crane operator license.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2.5 months

Pay: From $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- crane: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Crane Operator Certification for Saskatchewan (required)
