The Temporary Receptionist plays a crucial role in managing reception and administrative tasks essential for the efficient functioning of the office.

We assist women, youth, and gender diverse individuals in escaping violence, securing housing, finding employment, amplifying their voices, developing skills, and building confidence. Our services include a variety of housing options, employment and training programs, community support initiatives, programs for girls, and family support services. We also engage in systemic advocacy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responds to phone, email, and in-person inquiries regarding YWCA Toronto; directs inquiries to the appropriate personnel or program; Welcomes all visitors and guides them as necessary; Represents the organization positively and professionally to all visitors, suppliers, and the general public; Maintains a welcoming appearance in the reception area; Receives and distributes incoming supplies and deliveries for the office; Performs additional duties or special projects as assigned by the Office Coordinator or Administration Manager. QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of secondary education, including relevant technical or commercial training; 1-3 years of related work experience; Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization and the public; Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in addressing inquiries; Excellent organizational and administrative capabilities; Ability to provide culturally sensitive service in a diverse environment; Capacity to maintain a positive demeanor and professional conduct at all times; Knowledge of an additional language is an asset.
