Position Overview

The Load Management Specialist is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient turnaround of aircraft for our clients. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities that are essential for maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the secure and timely turnaround of aircraft.
  • Facilitate the movement of payload during transit flights, adhering to weight and balance protocols.
  • Verify NOTOC compliance in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Proactively manage the Load Control file, including flight plans, meteorological data, and PIBs.
  • Provide accurate PNL information to the flight system for check-in procedures.
  • Confirm the correct hold version, crew assignments, and pantry requirements for each flight.
  • Adjust service weights as necessary to meet operational demands.
  • Gather cargo weights in line with carrier offload orders.
  • Calculate and communicate the estimated Zero Fuel Weight.
  • Determine baggage ULDS requirements and coordinate with the baggage team.
  • Complete the load plan accurately.
  • Prepare the General Deck list as required by specific carriers.
  • Retrieve and manage flight plans efficiently.
  • Request new slots in the event of flight delays.
  • Collaborate with OPS to finalize weights from the flight deck for the load sheet.
  • Secure signed load plans from the ramp supervisor.
  • Obtain a signed NOTOC from the aircraft captain.
  • Ensure the flight is in PD mode.
  • Create and maintain the load control file, ensuring all documentation is properly organized.
  • Release all necessary flight messages as dictated by the carrier.
  • Inform the cargo warehouse of any cargo offloaded from the flight.
  • Send flight statistics as required by the carrier.
  • Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned.
  • Uphold compliance with all safety and security policies, recognizing that safety is a shared responsibility.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Familiarity with load control processes.
  • Understanding of DCS systems.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient in mathematics.
Functional Knowledge:
  • Prior experience in load control or ramp supervision is preferred.
Business Expertise:
  • Adherence to airline regulations and procedures.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as directed by the Duty Manager.
  • Compliance with company policies regarding attendance, leave, and performance.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality service to both the company and its customers.
  • Participation in all required training sessions.
  • Adherence to the company's disciplinary guidelines.
  • Ensuring all communications from the company, clients, and airport authorities are acknowledged and understood.
