About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director, Structure to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our structure department, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple building structure projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as project manager on several building structure projects, overseeing asset maintenance, major building transformation, and multi-storey commercial and residential construction.
  • Provide technical expertise and resolve complex engineering issues.
  • Validate the accuracy of master plans and engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate resources and professionals to ensure timely delivery and production.
  • Meet with customers to plan their needs, prepare proposals, and establish budgets and schedules.
  • Liaise with customers to check on project progress and ensure their opinions and requests are considered.
  • Work closely with customers to resolve project-related issues, including technical, finalization, and budgetary requests.
  • Carry out contractual follow-ups and monitor financial progress.
  • Act as project manager for projects under your supervision and carry out budgeting follow-up.
  • Evaluate and implement methods to improve service quality, optimize processes, and increase productivity.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in structural engineering (M.Eng or M.Sc.A) and/or management diploma an asset.
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years' experience in structural design and at least ten (10) in management.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects in both public and private sectors.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English.
  • Mastery of construction codes and standards applicable to building structures.
  • Structural design software (CSI Etabs, SAP2000, SAFE, ADA or equivalent).
