Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our Building Structural Group, you will be responsible for leading structural design teams and coordinating with other disciplines to achieve project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate structural design and construction with other disciplines, including architecture, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
  • Work closely with clients and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Develop and review structural models, analysis, and designs, as well as prepare and review structural reports and drawings.
  • Collaborate with BIM staff to prepare drawings and ensure accurate representation of project designs.
  • Review construction submittals, constructability, and staging drawings, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate engineering and commercial items with the construction team.
  • Conduct site visits to review work for compliance with structural drawings and contract documents, and identify potential construction deficiencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on industrial projects.
  • Fluency in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience with complete design of projects, including analysis, design, detailing, and construction administration for complex industrial projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, including NBCC, Quebec Construction Code, and CSA standards.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software, including SAP, ETABS, SAFE, RAM-Structural, S-Concrete, Microsoft Office Suite, and Acrobat/Bluebeam.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work with all levels of staff and clientele.
