About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at JASWINDER SINGH BRAR. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing: Install drywall sheets, cut and fit them to size, and secure them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Taping and Mudding: Apply successive coats of compound, sand seams and joints, and smooth out excess compound.
  • Decorative Finishing: Finish corners and angles, create decorative designs in the finish coat, and apply joint compound to fill holes and cracks.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 people, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Health and Safety: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Temporary.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
