About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Social Worker to join our team at Marathon Family Health Team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments

Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify the needs and goals of our patients, and develop effective treatment plans to address their mental health and wellness.

Provide Counseling and Therapy

Offer individual, family, and group counseling sessions to help patients cope with social and personal challenges, and provide therapy to support their mental health and well-being.

Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams

Work closely with our team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other social workers, to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Develop Community Programs

Develop and implement prevention and intervention programs to meet the mental health needs of our community, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.

Certifications and Memberships

Membership in a provincial association of social workers, and any relevant certifications or licenses.

Language and Communication

Fluency in English, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
