Your Role
As a key player in our Technology Consulting Group, you will be instrumental in advancing our mission. We are seeking skilled design professionals with expertise in structured cabling and network infrastructure, along with experience in Security or AV system design. Proficiency in creating design documents using Revit and AutoCAD is essential, as is the ability to engage effectively with clients through various communication channels. Your daily responsibilities will involve applying your technical expertise to produce high-quality deliverables while collaborating with a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design structured cabling systems for various environments, producing comprehensive drawings and specifications.
- Modify specifications to align with client requirements and standards.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and design team members to achieve project goals.
- Identify design challenges and communicate unresolved issues for further review.
- Engage with manufacturers and contractors to resolve challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Deliver contract documents that adhere to quality assurance standards.
- Participate in quality control reviews and be receptive to constructive feedback.
- Conduct site visits and attend client meetings as necessary.
- Enhance your skill set through cross-training and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to meetings and initiatives that align with company objectives.
- Enjoy a hybrid work schedule with flexible hours based on project demands.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
- Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, particularly AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.
- Experience in diverse project types, including commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, and data center infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Network, Wireless, Access Control, and Audiovisual Design standards.
- Ability to produce detailed design drawings under supervision.
- Capability to integrate design elements across various disciplines for a cohesive outcome.
- Basic understanding of relevant codes and standards, including ANSI/TIA and BICSI best practices.
- Professional demeanor with strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Education
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.) with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- RCDD certification or preparation for the RCDD exam is preferred.
