MOBIA is currently recruiting a Cybersecurity and Network Specialist to join our team in Dartmouth, NS. The Cybersecurity and Network Specialist will maintain the security and integrity of data and network systems. Knowledge of SOC2 assessments and risk assessment capabilities are highly valued. This individual will collaborate with the IT team to implement and manage network security measures, monitor network performance, and respond to security incidents.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Engage in SOC2 assessments and ensure compliance with SOC2 requirements.
- Perform risk assessments across various IT systems to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
- Monitor network security events and logs to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Maintain and configure firewalls, VPNs, and other network security devices.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement secure network architectures.
- Respond to and investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
- Educate and train staff on network and data security protocols in accordance with recognized standards.
- Stay updated on new security trends, tools, and best practices relevant to these frameworks.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or with other relevant training certificates or formal training in related fields.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO.
- Knowledge of SOC2 assessment processes and risk assessment techniques is a significant asset.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
- Experience with network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
- Understand the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols relevant to these frameworks.
- Familiarity with web-related technologies and network/web-related protocols.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Professional certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CISA, CISSP) is highly preferred.
