About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at DYK Logistics Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Operational Plans

Develop specific plans to prioritize tasks and ensure the smooth operation of our logistics operations.

Task Organization and Coordination

Organize tasks to accomplish work efficiently and effectively, and coordinate activities with other work units or departments as needed.

Operational Oversight

Oversee the operational logistics of our organization, including planning and organizing operational logistics, and ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods.

Reporting and Analysis

Prepare and submit reports to management on operational performance, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

Equipment Maintenance and Repair

Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.

Staff Management

Recruit, hire, and train staff, and conduct performance reviews to ensure high levels of productivity and quality.

Inventory Management

Organize and maintain inventory, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Requirements
  • Education

College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a logistics or operations role.

Computer and Technology Skills

Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and SAP (FI/CO / HR / MM / OT SD).

Work Environment

Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and heavy workload.

Physical Demands

Ability to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliable, team player, analytical, and proactive.
