Treatment Navigator Job Summary

The Treatment Navigator plays a vital role in supporting the recovery and capacity building of clients to maximize their social and economic potential and support their goals for success within a stay in addictions treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in team efforts to maintain and continuously improve the intake, admissions, and orientation process.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and respond to client rights to health care information.
  • Assess clients' suitability for the program and makes referrals to other agencies when necessary.
  • Work with the integrated addiction services team on clients' case planning and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate client records.
  • Act as a positive role model, coach, advisor, leader, and rational authority for clients.
  • Take new clients and collaborate with other staff members to identify acute and chronic mental health problems faced by clients.
  • Develop treatment plans and strategies to best meet client needs.
  • Assist clients with the completion of instrumental daily activities.
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 plus graduation from a recognized Mental Health Care Worker Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 1 year of experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
  • First Aid Certificate with CPR: current.
  • Valid Foodsafe certificate.
  • Satisfactory completion of Employee Immunization Record form is required.

  • Ability to teach.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.

Salary: $27.92 - $29.60 per hour
