Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Subway. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Inventory Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare and submit regular reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related role.
  • Work Environment
    • Work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Combine sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
    • Physically demanding role requiring stamina and energy.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client-focused and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
    • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Working Conditions
  • Permanent full-time position.
  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
