About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Humber River Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care and services to patients and families in our outpatient clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, coordination, and provision of services to patients and families, including crisis intervention and short-term management.
  • Integrate best practice guidelines and current evidence-based research into clinical practice for in-patient and ambulatory clinic for oncology and oncology palliative population.
  • Participate and lead quality improvement initiatives and make recommendations for change in consultation with the Program Director, Manager, and Physician Leader.
  • Provide training, coaching, and education related to evidence-based Oncology practice and knowledge among team members.
Requirements
  • NP - Primary Health Care.
  • NP– Adult, RN(EC) preferred, Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in acute oncology and systemic therapy experience.
  • Masters degree in Nursing.
  • Member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, preferred.
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (CNA), preferred.
  • Knowledge of oncology, community resources, crisis work, and a working knowledge of the Regulated Health Profession Act, Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act, and Substitute Decisions Act.
