Quality Control Lead Job Description:

  • Oversee quality assurance for construction initiatives
  • Develop project quality strategies, inspection protocols, and operational procedures
  • Collaborate closely with Construction Managers, Schedulers, and Planners to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project objectives and timelines
  • Deliver quality outputs that comply with project specifications, standards, and industry regulations
  • Ensure all tasks are executed according to established technical criteria as outlined in project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and inspection plans
  • Engage with supervisory staff, clients, contractors, and design teams to address and resolve issues related to work methods, complaints, and construction challenges
  • Create quality assessment reports and performance metrics
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to confirm compliance or highlight deviations from established standards
  • Issue notifications of non-compliance and halt work orders, collaborating with clients and quality teams to document incidents and recommend corrective measures
  • Supervise personnel, organizing work schedules and assigning specific responsibilities
  • Conduct quality training for staff
  • Assess operations to evaluate the effectiveness of the organization and its personnel in achieving goals, identifying opportunities for cost savings, program enhancements, or policy revisions
  • Propose adjustments to current quality or production standards to optimize quality outcomes
  • Support other projects and regions as necessary in implementing the Quality Program of the organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction as a Quality Manager within industrial sectors
  • Demonstrated experience as a QA/QC Inspector on large-scale projects
  • Extensive experience managing a team of quality inspectors
  • Commitment to safety, ensuring a safe working environment for all
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
  • Fluency in French is mandatory
  • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is advantageous due to potential mobility across regions
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions, including safety warnings and operational guidelines
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary
