Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Blackpepper Restaurant Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate special events and plan menus to meet customer demands
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to ensure efficient operations
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high-quality standards
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet customer preferences
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling to ensure consistency and quality
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize operations
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the culinary arts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
