Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Spicy Time Fine Indian Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that our kitchen is always well-stocked and organized.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and mentor junior staff members in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring that our kitchen is always equipped with the latest technology and tools.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers have a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Restaurant environment, with a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, with a high level of physical activity required.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
