Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Courier Driver to join our team at Whistler 99 Courier and Freightways Corporation. As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Drive Company Vehicles: Safely operate company automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Communication and Information Relay: Receive and relay information to central dispatch to ensure efficient and effective delivery operations.
  • Preparation and Restocking: Prepare, package, and restock goods in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from company vehicles, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Trip Planning and Record Keeping: Use maps and other trip planning aids to optimize delivery routes, and record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered.
  • Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure company vehicles are in good working condition, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Security and Safety: Be bondable and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically capable of handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Conditions: Be able to work overtime as required.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess a client-focused attitude, flexibility, organization, reliability, and a team player mentality.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This is a permanent position with a 32-hour workweek. The work language is English.
