Job Summary

Sea to Sky Courier and Freight Ltd. is seeking a skilled Line Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Line Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Handling: Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo, and transport and handle dangerous goods.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Hold a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation: Maintain a driver logbook and inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip).
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong judgment.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.
Work Environment
