Truck Driver

At Whistler 99 Courier and Freightways Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest level of safety and security.
Key Responsibilities- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, maintaining a high level of vehicle condition and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle, performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining effective communication and coordination.
- Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to company standards and regulations.
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Permanent work term
- English language proficiency
- 32 to 40 hours of work per week
