About the Role

The University of Manitoba is seeking a highly skilled Records and Information Analyst to support the development and implementation of its Records and Information Management (RIM) program. This is a full-time position that will report to the Records and Information Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the RIM program by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist the Access and Privacy Coordinator with Access to Information Requests, providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely responses.
  • Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders, including records creators and requestors, and foster a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Work with sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Develop and implement effective data management strategies, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data governance gaps and opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in records and information management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as archival studies, library information sciences, or records management.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in an office environment, with a strong understanding of records and information management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Proficiency in a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office and content management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and data quality.
