Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Garrison Green, Complex Continuing Care. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will provide on-going client care, observing, monitoring, and reporting on client status and condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately, adhering to policy and procedure
  • Report changes in client status to Registered Nurses and/or Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Ensure client safety and well-being, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement client care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
Requirements
  • Graduation from Grade 12, plus completion of an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Physical capability to manage frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory
