Character Artist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Character Artist to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a Character Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D models and textures for our games.

Responsibilities
  • Design and create 3D models and textures for game characters
  • Work with the game development team to ensure character models meet the game's artistic vision
  • Collaborate with other artists to create cohesive and engaging game worlds
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in character creation and 3D modeling
  • Proficiency in Maya, Z-Brush, and Photoshop
  • Experience with PBR texture and material workflows
  • Ability to work with content-driven game engines (e.g. Unreal, Frostbite, Unity)
  • Strong understanding of 3D modeling and texturing principles
Portfolio Requirements
  • Portfolio showcasing photo-real character modeling and texturing experience
  • Concept to model experience is a plus

We offer a competitive salary range of $73,200 - $101,700 CAN Annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation time, sick leave, and extended health/dental/vision coverage.
