Character Modeler and Texturer

Electronic Arts is seeking an experienced Character Modeler and Texturer to join our team in creating captivating game universes.
As a key member of our EA Sports Characters team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing character models that bring depth and realism to our games. Your expertise in 3D modeling, sculpting, and texturing will enable you to craft high-fidelity characters with intricate details.
Your role will involve working closely with project Development Managers and Directors to ensure the creation of immersive game experiences. You will also collaborate with other artists and designers to refine character designs and optimize performance.
To succeed in this position, you should have a strong foundation in:
- High-poly to low-poly surface/detail baking
- Experience with Maya, Z-Brush, and Photoshop
- Knowledge of PBR texture/material workflows
- Ability to author photo-realistic textures
- Understanding of content-driven game engines (e.g., Unreal, Frostbite, Unity)
You will be expected to create detailed character models with considerations for deformation and rigging. Additionally, your knowledge of cloth and clothing design will enable you to match character styles seamlessly.
A successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You should also be able to visualize three-dimensional concepts from limited reference material/concept art.
We offer competitive compensation packages, including:
- Base salary: $73,200 - $101,700 CAN annually (British Columbia location)
- Paid vacation time (3 weeks per year)
