Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transcription Services Manager to join our team at Veritext Legal Solutions. As a key member of our Court Services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality legal transcripts from court reporters and transcriptionists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct a team of transcriptionists and court reporters to ensure timely and accurate delivery of transcripts.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure transcripts meet the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of transcription services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with court reporters, transcriptionists, and other external vendors to ensure a high level of service and support.
  • Analyze departmental performance and identify opportunities for improvement to drive business growth and excellence.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to meet short- and long-term goals, including process improvements and training programs.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to team members on transcription-related quality standards, requirements, and best practices.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in transcription services, preferably in a court reporting or legal transcription environment.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and leading projects to achieve high-quality results.
  • Strong knowledge of transcription quality standards, including the BC Court Transcription Manual.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with transcription software and technology, including Hightail and ipSwitch.
