Job Summary:
Alamos Gold is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance operations, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanics and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mobile equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, communicate, and execute work for assigned mechanical teams to ensure optimal equipment utilization and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and practices, and hold yourself and team members accountable for achieving safety and performance targets.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Perform regular workplace inspections and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Report daily work activities and provide updates to management using established tools and procedures.
- Conduct monthly health and safety meetings with teams, presenting relevant material and ensuring understanding and compliance.
- Respond to maintenance-related queries and requests from stakeholders, and collaborate with procurement to purchase equipment for current and future needs.
- Support the General Foreman and Superintendent in hiring and training mechanics, and complete time entry, vacation requests, and scheduling tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Technical training or certification, or a Diploma of Collegial Studies, in a relevant field.
- 5-8 years of related experience, with a minimum of 3 years in supervisory roles.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations for mines and mining plants.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate a cooperative team effort and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will be required to work a rotating schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
