Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Maintenance Planner to join our Engineering team at Young-Davidson, a low-cost, long-life underground gold mine located in Ontario, Canada.

Role Overview:

The Mobile Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities for a large fleet of underground mobile equipment, ensuring maximum availability and reliability while providing technical assistance and guidance to the mobile maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve the overall mobile maintenance and reliability programs.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize equipment availability.
  • Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and other planners to ensure effective maintenance planning and execution.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance plans to align with operations strategic goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to the mobile maintenance team to ensure effective maintenance execution.
  • Conduct regular reviews of maintenance KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with OEM suppliers and 3rd party labor contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Maintenance Planner.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with SAP and other maintenance management software.
  • Strong understanding of underground mobile equipment, including CAT LHDs, Epiroc 282 Jumbos, and Sandvik long hole drills.
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, with a focus on reliability and availability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with maintenance supervisors, planners, and other stakeholders.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and SAP.
  • Highly organized and motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
