Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Alamos Gold. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of mechanics and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, communicate, and follow work for assigned mechanical team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and practices.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
  • Hold team members accountable for safety and performance targets.
  • Perform workplace inspections and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Report daily work progress using provided tools.
  • Conduct monthly health and safety meetings with the team.
  • Respond to maintenance-related queries and requests.
  • Maximize equipment utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to mechanical maintenance.
  • Collaborate with procurement to purchase equipment for current and future needs.
  • Assist in the hiring of mechanics and provide input on their performance.
  • Complete time entry, vacation requests, and scheduling tasks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Technical training or certification, or a Diploma of Collegial Studies.
  • 5-8 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Good understanding of applicable legislation and regulations for mines and mining plants.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate team commitment.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, with internal and external contacts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Work Schedule:

5, 4, 4, 5 rotating schedule.
