Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mobile Maintenance Planner to join our Engineering team at Young-Davidson, a low-cost, long-life underground gold mine in Ontario, Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities for a large fleet of underground mobile equipment, ensuring maximum availability and reliability while providing technical assistance and guidance to the mobile maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve the overall mobile maintenance and reliability programs.
  • Plan and commit the weekly maintenance schedule for a large fleet of underground mobile equipment.
  • Ensure short- and long-term maintenance plans align with operations strategic goals and objectives.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts, and consumables.
  • Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and other planners to ensure effective maintenance planning and execution.
  • Develop and manage the mine maintenance program, determining the specific maintenance work required to maximize equipment availability at minimum cost and with minimum unplanned maintenance.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules and KPI reports.
  • Review KPIs with senior leaders to promote improvements to the overall process by identifying gaps.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with SAP and CMMS systems.
  • Strong understanding of underground mobile equipment, including CAT LHD's, Epiroc 282 Jumbos, and Sandvik long hole drills.
  • Experience with short- and long-range maintenance planning.
  • Mobile maintenance experience (planning or mechanical) is preferred.
  • Project management experience would be considered an asset.
  • Proven oral, written, and active listening skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and SAP.
  • Highly organized, motivated, self-starter, who can work with minimal supervision and emphasize safety in the workplace.
