We are seeking a highly skilled and accomplished Senior Scientist to join our team in the Department of Immunology at the University of Toronto and the Krembil Research Institute at UHN.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional individual with a Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline and significant postdoctoral experience in neuroscience and immunology. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of research excellence, with a strong publication record, presentations at significant conferences, and experience in overseeing a research team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing new cutting-edge technologies and strengths in areas such as neural- and glial-immune interactions, preclinical models of neuroinflammation, and human cohorts/samples and systems-biology approaches to neuroimmunology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead an original, competitive, and independently funded research program of international caliber.
  • Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Contribute to the development of new research initiatives and collaborations within the Department of Immunology and the Krembil Research Institute.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to advance our understanding of neuroimmunology and develop new treatments for neurological disorders.
