An exciting opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Calgary office. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position reporting to the Manager, Compensation that is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.

What you will learn:

• Experience as part of the Centre of Excellence team in an HR function of a large, complex, and global organization

• Exposure to both Canadian and US employee compensation programs including their key design principles and applicable regulations

• Opportunity to develop written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite of programs, particularly MS Excel

What you will do:

• Assist with various compensation projects related to our Nitrogen, Phosphate, Potash, Corporate, and Commercial (NPKCC) and Retail business units such as the preparation of communication material, program documentation

• Support the NPKCC and Retail compensation teams by providing compensation consultation

• Complete data analysis in the context of salary and pay equity reviews

• Participate in market pricing exercises

• Review and evaluate job descriptions

What you will bring:

• Currently completing 3rd year in an undergraduate business program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.

• Preference for a person pursuing an HR or Finance career

• Excellent Microsoft Suite knowledge including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Experience in managing multiple priorities and working in a team environment is an asset
