The Opportunity

We are seeking a Total Rewards Analyst who will report directly to the Manager of Total Rewards. This role is pivotal in delivering insights, analysis, and administration of our comprehensive total rewards programs, which encompass compensation, benefits, pensions, well-being, and recognition initiatives. The successful candidate will engage in extensive data analysis, benchmarking, and market research to ensure our offerings remain competitive and equitable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to compensation, pensions, benefits, and total rewards programs.
  • Ensure HRIS data integrity through regular audits, maintaining accuracy and consistency, and assisting with system updates.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics associated with total rewards.
  • Conduct audits of pension, benefits, payroll, and vendor systems to ensure accurate data management and financial reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to governing bodies for compensation and benefit programs.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations that highlight key findings, trends, and historical patterns to forecast future needs.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements within total rewards programs to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Benchmarking & Market Analysis
  • Conduct benchmarking studies and market analysis to ensure SAIT's total rewards offerings are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Analyze market trends and best practices to recommend enhancements to total rewards programs.
  • Support the development of strategies to promote equity and inclusiveness in compensation and benefits.
  • Provide analytical support regarding employee classifications.
  • Program Support & Administration
  • Assist in the administration of compensation programs, including job evaluation and compliance reporting.
  • Support benefits administration by maintaining employee benefits records and processing changes and enrollments.
  • Manage employee leave programs, ensuring timely processing and updates of leave balances.
  • Assist in managing pension programs and group savings, including reconciliations and employee inquiries.
  • Ensure service delivery meets organizational standards and support relationships with external vendors.
  • Participate in audits and reviews of total rewards programs to ensure governance and data integrity.
  • Communications
  • Respond to employee inquiries through a ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
  • Create standardized responses for common inquiries to streamline communication.
  • Provide feedback on communication needs and contribute to the development of materials that enhance employee understanding of total rewards programs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in human resources, business administration, finance, actuarial science, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in administering total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and pensions.
  • Experience with HRIS/HR system support.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and data analytics.
  • Experience in administering pension plans and compliance reporting.
  • Proven ability to conduct research and analytics in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in enhancing customer experience through exceptional service.
  • Preferred
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • CPHR, CCP, and/or CEBS designation (or currently enrolled).

Compensation

Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 with additional benefits including 4 weeks of vacation and 14 flex days per year.
