Nurse Practitioner Job Description

RT Medical is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our agency staffing team. As a Nurse Practitioner with RT Medical, you will have the opportunity to work with private and/or government-run care facilities and hospitals, providing your services and expertise in an agency capacity.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive health assessments in-person or over a telemedicine platform
  • Develop and implement evidence-based care plans for patients and residents
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and send referrals to specialists
  • Collaborate with the care team, facility, patient/family/caregiver, and other healthcare professionals to formulate a plan of care
  • Perform other clinical duties as required, including delegating tasks within your scope of practice
Requirements
  • Master of Nursing-Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) or related Nurse Practitioner Master's Degree
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario for Nurse Practitioner (Registered Nurses Extended Class)
  • Strong technological skills and experience in performing advanced, comprehensive health assessments
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach, with the ability to lift 50lbs (23 kg)
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification, as well as updated immunization records
  • Clear criminal background check and Vulnerable Sector check
  • Valid G2/G driver's license, access to a reliable car, and vehicle liability insurance
