About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at IKO Industries Ltd. in a key role that focuses on the operational management of our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Develop, monitor, and execute project plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing process.
  • Safety Initiatives: Work on safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Cost Savings and Quality: Identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvement, productivity enhancement, and reliability improvement.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Analyze work tasks and develop Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Process Improvements: Implement process improvements to reduce waste production and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Industrial Trials: Design and propose industrial trials to the operational team to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Site Compliance: Ensure site compliance with corporate process standards.
  • Safety Management Systems: Support safety management systems to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Process Harmonization: Harmonize processes and equipment across sites to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Reliability Engineer to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Plant Audits and Reporting: Assist in plant audits and reporting to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Process Improvement Teams: Lead process improvement teams occasionally to drive manufacturing efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving: Conduct problem-solving exercises and plant tours to identify areas for improvement.
  • Customer Complaints: Assist in investigating customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of relevant work experience in Process/Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Project Implementation: Project implementation skills from start to finish.
  • Track Record: Track record of successful projects within budget and schedule.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma: Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Organizational and Communication Skills: Strong Organizational and Communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD/Inventor.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Ability to mentor/coach and work effectively in a team.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30% within Canada.
