Job Title: Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for procuring various supplies and services to ensure smooth operations at IKO. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work with a renowned industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review requisition requirements and prepare purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for inventory control, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels.
  • Arrange disposal of surplus materials and conduct regular inventory counts to optimize storage capacity.
  • Support plant Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) audit requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Research and select reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and analyze financial reports to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, optimize costs, and adhere to procurement regulations to minimize risk.
  • Build positive relationships with suppliers and verify deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting principles and business practices, with a strong understanding of financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
