Position Overview

Right at Home is actively seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team on a casual basis for clinical trial and infusion services in the Nova Scotia region. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have experience with IV initiation and blood collection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
  • Collect, label, process, and prepare biological specimens for transportation to the central laboratory.
  • Administer 12-lead ECGs as required.
  • Ensure accountability for investigational medicinal products (IMP).
  • Conduct urine pregnancy tests and urine drug screenings.
  • Evaluate and document any changes in patient symptoms as reported.
  • Perform study medication reviews.
  • Complete necessary visit documentation accurately.

Qualifications/Certifications:

  • CPR Certification and First Aid Training (mandatory).
  • Two-step TB test (mandatory).
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening/Criminal Record Check (mandatory).
  • Current nursing license and registration in good standing with the NSCN (mandatory).

COVID-19 Protocols:

All nursing staff are required to wear masks while interacting with clients. Personal protective equipment will be provided. Nurses must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination.
