Position Overview
Right at Home is actively seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team on a casual basis for clinical trial and infusion services in the Nova Scotia region. The successful candidate will need to possess a valid driver's license and have experience in IV initiation and blood collection.

Whether in a hospital, retirement community, or family residence, Right at Home enhances the support already provided by family members, government programs, or assisted living facilities. Our adaptable, professional, and relationship-focused care is available when our clients need it the most.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
- Collect, label, process, and prepare biological specimens for transport to the central laboratory.
- Administer 12-lead ECGs as required.
- Ensure accountability for investigational medicinal products (IMP).
- Conduct urine pregnancy tests and urine drug screenings.
- Evaluate and document any changes in patient signs or symptoms as reported.
- Perform study drug assessments.
- Complete all necessary visit documentation accurately.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Current CPR Certification and First Aid Training (mandatory).
- Completion of a 2-step TB test (mandatory).
- Vulnerable Sector Screening/Criminal Record Check (mandatory).
- Valid nursing license and registration in good standing with the NSCN (mandatory).
Health and Safety Protocols:
All nursing staff are required to wear masks while interacting with clients. Personal protective equipment will be provided. Nurses must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and present proof of vaccination.
