Position Overview

The Phone Place is seeking a dedicated Cashier to manage transactions and provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management: Operate the cash register efficiently, processing payments through various methods including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
  • Inventory Support: Stock shelves and maintain cleanliness in the checkout area to enhance the shopping environment.
  • Sales Support: Engage in suggestive selling to promote additional products and services.
  • Payment Reconciliation: Calculate and reconcile daily payments received with total sales to ensure accuracy.
  • Age Verification: Verify customer age when selling restricted items such as lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco.
Work Environment
