Retail Store Supervisor Job Description
At Ontario Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our retail store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store operates efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, ensuring that they are meeting their sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
- Assign sales staff to duties, including opening and closing the store, handling customer transactions, and maintaining store displays.
- Hire, train, and develop sales staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage store finances, including cash handling and inventory management.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that the store is staffed appropriately at all times.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues, ensuring that our customers receive a positive experience.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that our store is well-stocked and that our customers have access to the products they need.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
