Job Description

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Mortgage and Loan Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Onico Solutions. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in providing strategic business analysis services to our business partners in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Process Analysis: Review and document business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological requirements and risks.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.
  • Requirements Gathering: Communicate effectively with business partners to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management or technical teams.
  • Documentation: Document requirements, specifications, business processes, and make recommendations related to proposed solutions.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Support user acceptance testing in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results.
  • Project Management: Adhere to existing processes/standards including the system development life cycle and project management methodology, architecture, and escalate issues if necessary.
  • Communication: Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to the Project Manager or Application Manager.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience as a business analyst.
  • 10+ years' experience in the financial industry, preferably in mortgage and loan originations.
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) – an asset.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Time management, highly organized.
  • Strategic/forward thinking.
  • Interpersonal relationship building.
  • Leadership.
  • Communication (verbal and written) – excellent.
  • Professional maturity – exceptional.
  • MS Office – advanced.
  • Experience with HPQC (an asset).

What We Offer:

We offer a minimum 6-month contract with likely extension, working from home until deemed safe, and located in downtown Toronto.
