Position Summary

In this role, you will provide essential mental health services within a collaborative team environment, focusing on the well-being of individuals and families in our diverse communities.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive mental health assessments and interventions to patients across various age groups.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals, incorporating evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and available resources.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and well-being within the healthcare system.
Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified candidate with:

  • A recognized degree in mental health counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Current registration/licensure as required by the provincial regulatory body.
  • Experience providing mental health services in a primary care setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to person-centered care and cultural sensitivity.
