Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote conference and meeting services or special events to attract attendees and clients.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Prepare, present, and manage budgets to ensure financial stability and success.
  • Develop sponsorship, partnership, or fundraising programs to support event goals.
  • Review bids and negotiate costs to secure the best deals.
  • Coordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities, attending to related details to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Coordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details for special events.
  • Implement registration systems to streamline event attendance.
  • Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services to support attendees.
  • Plan for required documentation and pre- and post-distribution of documentation (itineraries, evaluations, etc.).
  • Plan for social events and guest programs to enhance the overall experience.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure efficient event management.
  • Manage Event Logistics to ensure timely and successful event execution.
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff to maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fast-paced environment with overtime required.
  • Permanent work term with 35 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
