Job Summary:

beBee Professionals is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planning Specialist to join our team in Edmonton. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of conventions, conferences, and other events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute event plans, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible services and rates.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop marketing materials to promote events and attract attendees.
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Manage event staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate event success, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in event planning, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
