Bike Park Manager Job Description

**Job Summary:**

The Bike Park Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bike park, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors. This includes managing staff, coordinating trail maintenance and construction, and implementing safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all park activities, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of park visitors.
  • Oversee the maintenance and construction of trails, ensuring they are safe and well-maintained.
  • Implement safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Develop and implement park policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety talks and meetings with staff.
  • Assist with departmental human resources management, including hiring, disciplinary recommendations, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in bike park management or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of bike park safety, operations, trail building, and maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent risk management skills with an ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal park regulations.
  • Must hold a full and unrestricted valid BC driver's license.

Working Conditions:

The Bike Park Manager will split duties between an office environment and outdoors in all weather conditions. This is a full-time position, working an average of 40 hours a week, with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
