About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at High Think Drywall & Construction. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring that our drywall installations meet the highest standards of quality and finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth and even finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure a strong bond between the drywall and the surrounding materials.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and create a seamless finish.
  • Filling joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife to create a smooth surface.
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit and a smooth finish.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to create a sturdy and secure installation.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a strong bond.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Finisher at High Think Drywall & Construction, you will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be required to work in a dusty environment and be physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in drywall finishing and installation.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a reliable and team player.
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment and be comfortable with repetitive tasks.
