Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Edo Japan Tsawwassen. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer demands.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary to prevent quality issues.
  • Prepare Budgets and Reports: Prepare budget and cost estimates, and submit regular reports to management on departmental performance.
  • Manage Schedules: Establish work schedules, and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
Work Environment

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment where you will be working under pressure to meet customer demands. You will be standing for extended periods and working in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
