About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our team at Altum Health, a department within the University Health Network. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with clients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality psychotherapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions to support clients in managing mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and trauma.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement return-to-work plans, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support throughout their recovery journey.
  • Document client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and education activities to enhance clinical practice and contribute to the growth of the team.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Health or Social Sciences, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in psychotherapy.
  • Membership in good standing with a regulated health professions College, such as the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
  • Additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and group facilitation is preferred.
  • Experience working with clients with diverse mental health needs, including those with disabilities or injuries resulting from workplace or auto-related accidents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
